My name is Rich Bancroft and I would like to welcome you to The Parched Painter! I’m excited to bring this exciting business to the area and look forward to becoming a part of the community. I hope to provide you with an environment that allows you to escape your everyday life by enjoying a fun and creative evening out with family and friends. It has been said: “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life.” Picasso
I have had a passion for drawing and painting ever since I can remember and have dreamed of an opportunity like this to combine my love of the arts with my business and teaching experience. I have been very active in art classes from my childhood through college at the University of Massachusetts. After graduation, I continued to strengthen my skills by attending continuing education classes from local professional artists, participating in a number of local art associations, and creating art on a daily basis.
I have experience working in a number of mediums including: acrylics, oils, pastel, stained glass and mosaics. Over the past 25+ years, I have done everything from landscapes, portraiture, stained glass, murals, and contemporary art.
Joining me in this endeavor is my lovely wife of over 12 years, Alison, who will be bringing her business knowledge and expertise to the daily operations at The Parched Painter. Both Alison and I are committed to providing everyone at The Parched Painter with an experience sure to rekindle the artist residing in all of us. As Picasso once said, “All children are artists. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.”
